Is this crazy or what?! I'm not sure in anyone's wildest dreams we'd have ever thought we'd be in a global pandemic with long term social distancing, isolation, and devastating loss. I sit here just after midnight writing my first blog as an unemployed American. I have joined the ranks of millions of others in the US and around the world, having been given one day's notice that I was losing my corporate job as a Director of IT. Yes, I have the chocolate business, but even that has slowed to a crawl with retail stores closing indefinitely, and people just not thinking about chocolate. It hasn't helped that our website has been done for months as we struggle with previous and new hosting providers and domain owners, trying to change DNS settings and ownership. It's been painful. But it's life, and we'll make it through like everyone else!
A few weeks ago I woke up and felt like I needed to spread a little joy. Packages of goodies were sent to 12 of our close friends and family to reminded them that we were still here for them, and we love them. Our hope at Red Light Chocolates is that maybe you'll join us in spreading joy. It doesn't have to be much . . a postcard, a hand-drawn picture, or if you're so inclined to help support us . . maybe even a box of Red Light Chocolates. Whatever you do, please remember to always be kind and patient with others. We're all in this together, and we'll all come out of this together!
Love, The Red Light Chocolates Family
